Our Croatian Roadtrip: Šibenik

One of the best things about going on a roadtrip is the having freedom. Finding small towns and secluded beaches without even planning to is always exciting. On our car journey from Zadar to Split, we had a few hours to kill before checking into our Airbnb. We decided to stop somewhere and chill, so we drove through a town called Šibenik and decided to park up.

Croatia is full of charming towns. When you drive the coastal route from Zadar all the way to Dubrovnik there are so many beautiful places to spend a few hours. You can even grab some food/a drink before carrying on with your journey.

After walking around the port in Šibenik, we drove for another 30 mins or so. This was before finding a secluded beach right off the road, literally. We pulled up in a bay on the side of the road and walked down some steps. Here we found a cute beach bar and further down – an amazing beach with hardly anyone there.

The people at the beach bar were so relaxed, they didn’t demand us to buy anything. We did anyway, out of courtesy (plus it was hot and a cold coke sorted us out nicely haha). The water was stunning, clear and warm with stones only a meter out and then it was soft sand under our toes. We spent more hours here then we thought we would and had such a lovely afternoon!

Have you ever found a secluded beach? If you have I’d love to hear all about it!
